DOES THE SCUSD THINK THEY ARE ABOVE THE LAW? -- a santa clara police detective is currently working on the above case of animal cruelty which recently occurred against the ducks at the marina playa apartments; so why is the SCUSD allowed to serial kill wildlife and/or disrupt protected red tailed hawk territory without consequence, and others are not? i believe the most DESPICABLE part of all this is the arrogance of school administrators who hide behind 'education' and 'the children' as an excuse to do whatever they damn well please -- if our society truly cared about its' children; government would simply increase education funding...

ANIMAL RIGHTS POLICIES TEND TO REFLECT HUMAN RIGHTS POLICIES -- it has long been known those who harm animals tend to harm humans as well; and animal rights policies tend to differ from region to region -- protesters can expect to be treated by police only as well as the animals in their given region are treated -- and this is a good reason -- if not a selfish reason -- to VIGOROUSLY SUPPORT progressive animal rights legislation no matter where you live...

*SEE SATELLITE PHOTO BELOW -- SECTION A) is the Peterson High School Ecological Study Center -- SECTION B) is the area the SCUSD has proposed to 'redo' the lawn (in other words; they are disturbing protected red tailed hawk and/or ground squirrel habitat (see photo below of red tailed hawk in the section B WILDLIFE CORRIDOR) an extensive public hearing process was done a few years ago; and open space was shored up for the use of the neighborhood -- so to have some BITCH LADY principal (i have respect for women; women who are not above-the-law serial wildlife killers) come along and try to supersede that entire process is nothing short of INSULTING to the ENTIRE NEIGHBORHOOD, and/or the democratic process in general -- THE BOTTOM LINE: local people payed tax dollar$ for many years to shore up this open space for use by the community; so to deny those people access is not only wrong; but criminal as well -- though lately that seems to be the norm; taking open space and giving it away to various private entities like the soccer league which has essentially bought SECION C; but then we all bought that land as well many years ago; so it is CLEARLY not their land to so flagrantly give away -- IT IS OUR LAND AS WELL; SO GET USED TO IT! DON'T FENCE US OUT! -- furthermore; the last prinicipal at peterson was a cool black guy who used to call me by first name, so what happened to him? -- SECTION C) marks the spot of a field which the SCUSD oversees as well -- with one added gate this field could be easily utilized by the students of Peterson Middle School instead of SECTION B; which should be dedicated as an extension of the Ecological Study Center -- LAND GRAB NOTE: local taxpayers have paid taxes for many years to retain access to these fields -- yet folks who live ten feet away from SECTION C cannot access the field without trespassing (even though SECTION C was open space for many years until recently) and to top it off; people who live adjacent to SECTION C have to tolerate loud soccer games w/bullhorns and PA systems on weekends when they come home to 'relax' -- and PAL football trashes the track next to SECTION B to the point where it is a literal pig stye when they finish with it; and SCUSD maintenance people refuse to clean up the mess -- note: after calling the sunnyvale police numerous times during the summer of 2011 for illegal activities occurring on the peterson fieled at night (fireworks @ 1:30 am etc) as well as calling them for unabated harassment i experienced for a number of years WITH NO ARRESTS MADE; it is nothing short of RIDICULOUS and INSULTING for the sunnyvale police to suddenly come along and try to criminalize law abiding citizens...

NOTE: i heard from an anonymous source that the fence around section B will come down after christmas 2011! -- a true story: one time when i was running on the track at around dusk; i saw what looked like a snow-white colored 'ghost dog' running across section B from about where the baseball diamond is; over to the nature area (it disappeared into thin air after about 50 yards!?) and to me this means only one thing; the dogs who come out here with their owners truly enjoy this open space -- so let's keep this open space OPEN; for all to enjoy...
