1) PHOTO A (see photos below) is an aerial view from 1948 showing the corner of Stevens Creek Boulevard and Wolfe Road in Cupertino, California -- 2) PHOTO B is a 1991 photo of the exact same parcel; showing unchecked development after years of subsequent population growth -- 3) PHOTOS C and D are from the years 2005 and 2009 showing the same parcel -- 4) PHOTO E is from a slightly higher altitude showing Vallco Mall (number 1); the proposed Main Street Parcel (number 3); and the corner of Wolfe Road and Stevens Creek Boulevard (number 2)...

THE CALIFORNIA GROUND SQUIRREL is a "KEYSTONE SPECIES" capable of supporting a variety of other unrelated species; and these squirrels are now living on the proposed Main Street PARCEL 3 (note: human beings are a keystone species as well) -- Therefore it is recommended any new development be confined to adjacent PARCEL 2 where height restrictions can be lifted to create a mixed-usage semi high-rise structure with a deep underground basement (note: the current stucture located at PARCEL 2 is essentially unsafe with an underground parking garage which is extremely vulnerable to future seismic activity; therefore needing replacement with this proposed new semi high-rise structure) -- A combination wildlife zone/park could then be created on 1/2 to 2/3 of PARCEL 3 for potential future residents of a revised Main Street project located at PARCEL 2; to protect wildlife habitat as well as improve the quality of life for future residents...

The general location of the proposed Main Street parcel is an excellent spot for futuristic "smart development" due to its' relative proximity to Highway 280 and Stevens Creek Boulevard (likely locations of future elevated rail lines which will be designed to take vehicles off the roads and reduce atmospheric emissions) But part of that new "green plan" definitely includes the support of wildlife as well...

> NOTE: INSTALLATION OF PERMANENT TRAFFIC CALMING DEVICES IN ADJACENT NEIGHBORHOODS IS RECOMMENDED...

A = 1948
NOTE: should Calabazas Creek be partially restored at this location? -- adding to this; new HOMELAND SECURITY laws require water retention ponds in case of natural disasters like earthquakes which can compromise water pressure -- QUESTION: should a large retention pond be created here as well?
