RESTORE THE POND @ 1333 LAWRENCE EXPRESSWAY!

In October of the year 2000, the City of Santa Clara allowed the illegal paving of the old pond at 1333 Lawrence Expressway (the site of the latest new building development across the street from Marina Playa) which used to be the old Calabazas Creek -- Not only was 1333 Lawrence habitat for an endangered Blue Herring, but also home to countless other protected species as well; including Mallard Ducks and increasing numbers of Canadian Geese etc (note: a maintenance worker at Marina Playa has photos of the Blue Herring, which was recently seen returning to Marina Playa; and a Santa Clara city maintenance worker said he used to fish at the old creek; and that many people at the City of Santa Clara knew 1333 Lawrence was the old Calabazas Creek).

I have made several attempts to contact Santa Clara County regarding old county maps which would prove it was IN FACT the old creek, but I have met resistance each time -- I even contacted the San Jose Mercury news, but they seem to be part of the cover-up as well. (it seems the City of Santa Clara could not easily shove the KOHL’s project down our collective throats, so they instead took the path of least resistance and developed 1333 LAWRENCE EXPRESSWAY!) -- Adding to this; new Homeland Security laws mandate water retention ponds be set aside for emergencies when water pressure is compromised [after the next big earthquake] but without the 1333 Lawrence Expressway pond; your homes will inevitably be at risk.

The sad fact is; the city of Santa Clara has been playing little games covering-up the 1333 Lawrence Expressway situation up ever since the year 2000, desperately (and illegally) trying to distract from their acts by attempting to criminalize the activist who has been bringing this situation to your attention, BUT IT IS NOT TOO LATE! Just because some groundbreaking has occurred at 1333 Lawrence does not mean it is a done deal -- Please use the contacts listed below to holler about this subject AND HELP MODIFY THIS ILLEGAL BUILDING PROJECT ~ DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER! YOU HAVE THE POWER TO STOP IT, SO TAKE ACTION! (note: while housing is needed; a water retention pond absolutely must be constructed)

> OTHER REASONS TO RESTORE THE 1333 LAWRENCE EXPRESSWAY POND: 1) the calming effect of negative ions created by pond fountains [which help offset the positive ion count generated by vehicle exhaust]; and 2) the aesthetic value of a beautiful pond [i go to santa cruz to be around nature's beauty, as do many others who are drawn there, but unfortunately santa clara has paved over all of its' natural beauty, making it a near environmental dead-zone generally unworthy of visiting -- the fact is; excess and/or irresponsible environmental destruction and/or development is among many other things, quite simply; BAD FOR BUSINESS and/or TOURISM!] > since we do not live in the politically oppressive regime of los angeles [where republicrats rule, and media-inspired riots outnumber peaceful protests] our voices actually half way sort of matter up here in northern california; so please TAKE ACTION AND DEMAND THE RESTORATION OF THE POND @ 1333 LAWRENCE EXPRESSWAY!

> TERRORIZING ECOSYSTEMS = ECOTERRORISM + COINTELPRO = USA PATRIOT ACT -- the earth is experiencing the largest species extinction since the fall of the dinosaurs > read how both the city of Sunnyvale and Santa Clara ignored exculpatory evidence, used falsified police reports, coersion and/or intimidation, gang stalking, violence, and even long-ago outlawed COINTELPRO methods to forcefully shove their speciesist, anti-environmental agenda down our collective throats @ http://neighborhood-copwatch.blogspot.com/ > NOTE: shortly after 911; the FBI admitted a dirty little secret; for roughly 25 years they actively destabilized activists, and especially black activists -- they then made their dirty little secret into law with the USA PATRIOT ACT!
